Troops of 3rd Battalion, 5307th cross the Tawang Hka river near Tanja Ga enroute to Walawbum. Rivers were at a low level during the dry season, and it was frequently necessary to ford them as the trails crossed them constantly. At times, the same river was crossed 40-50 times in one day.
