Col. Chas. Hunter and Gen. Frank D, Merrill greet Lt. Col. Wm. L. Osborne and Lt. Bright and men of 1st st Battalion of 5307th , on arrival at India-Burma border. This represented a clime to an altitude of 6200 feet at this point. China bound aircraft could be seen flying hundreds of feet below this point as they left fields in Assam.
