SMITH, THE BROTHER OF JOHNNIE SMITH - K.I.A. - TINGKRUKAWNG BURMA - MAY 1944 FIRST SCOUT, I & R PLATOON, 3rd BATTALION, MERRILL'S MARAUDERS. JOHNNIE AND JAMES WHERE FRIENDS IN THE 3RD BATTALION. NOTE: THE FAMILY OF JOHNNIE SMITH, WAS ONLY INFORMED IN 1944 THAT JOHNNIE WAS KILLED IN ACTION, PERIOD.
